About me..
Borrowdale Glass came accidently into being just 5 years ago, when I retired after 40 years of teaching German, the last 33 at Keswick School. A chance encounter with glass fusing at an after school taster session for staff, planted a seed.
On retirement, I began to explore the magic of glass fusing. This quickly became an all absorbing passion. Initially friends began to buy my work, followed by successful craft fairs, selling locally and the acquisition of Facebook friends. After covering costs, initially all profits were donated to Cancer Research. Since fully retiring I have become a sole trader, but still donate every month to Cancer Research. I am grateful to the glass for showing me that even at 60+ years of age, you may have much to learn and explore. Meeting so many lovely people has also been an enormous unexpected bonus. Commissions are welcome, please get in contact using either the contact form, email, phone number or via the Borrowdale Glass Facebook page. Stay up to date via the Facebook or Instagram pages |
